How to use these terms

Use the links beside this guide to move directly to the conditions most relevant to your visit. The headings are written in practical language to make the document easier to scan; they do not reduce the importance of a section that applies to you. Restaurant arrangements, Card Room participation, and event attendance each have their own operating context.

Plain-language interpretation

In this document, “venue” means Bluff And Hearth at 18 Lantern Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia. “Card Room”, “Card Lounge”, and “Poker Lounge” each refer to the dedicated physical poker area within the venue. Ordinary hospitality terms are intended in their usual practical sense. An event notice may add operational details for that particular in-person occasion.

Restaurant visits and enquiries

Our dining room is designed for considered hospitality. These practical conditions help us respond clearly to enquiries and maintain a comfortable visit for every guest.

Restaurant

Enquiries and visit details

Restaurant availability, seating requests, and visit arrangements are subject to confirmation by Bluff And Hearth. When making an enquiry, please provide accurate contact details and any relevant information about your intended visit so our team can respond appropriately. A request is not confirmed until the venue communicates confirmation. For restaurant enquiries, contact [email protected] or call +61 438 271 946.

Arrival, seating, and service

Consideration helps set the room. We ask visitors to arrive with respect for staff, fellow guests, and the pace of service. Seating and service arrangements may respond to operational needs, safety, accessibility, or the comfort of guests. Please follow reasonable directions from the venue team, particularly where an area is being prepared or adjusted. Visitors are responsible for supervising people in their care where appropriate, so shared restaurant spaces remain welcoming and easy to use.

Changes and cancellations

If an arranged visit changes or can no longer proceed, please notify the venue promptly. Reasonable notice helps our team plan the room and accommodate other guests. Bluff And Hearth may need to adjust arrangements because of capacity, safety, private use of a space, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Where an adjustment is needed, we will communicate practical information available to us and seek to keep the experience clear and considerate.

A timely update gives the dining room its best chance to welcome every guest well.

Card Room conditions

Offline poker and Card Room participation

Offline · In person

All poker entertainment at Bluff And Hearth takes place physically at the venue, in person, using chips-only entertainment. The Card Room / Poker Lounge is a dedicated physical setting within the restaurant experience. Bluff And Hearth does not provide online gambling, betting, sportsbooks, deposits, withdrawals, cash winnings, or money/currency. Chips are part of the onsite table experience only and are not a financial instrument.

Participation at poker tables

Visitors joining poker tables, including Texas Hold’em activity, are expected to follow staff instructions, table etiquette, and the stated format for the session. The Card Room, Card Lounge, and poker salon are shared physical spaces for in-person poker. To maintain an enjoyable and orderly experience, our team may organise seating, timing, table flow, or a pause between sessions. Chips are used only as part of onsite entertainment, hold no financial value, and remain within the context of the physical table experience.

Respectful card-room conduct

We ask every participant to support fair physical play, care for venue property, and show consideration for fellow guests and staff. Disruptive behaviour, misuse of cards or chips, or refusal to follow reasonable staff directions may mean a visitor is asked to leave the relevant activity or venue. This approach protects comfort, safety, and the composed shared atmosphere of the Poker Lounge. It is intended to keep the room practical, hospitable, and enjoyable for people taking part in chips-only entertainment.

A composed table makes room for every player.

Texas Hold’em tournaments and poker events

Venue-run poker events are communicated as practical onsite occasions in the Card Room / Poker Lounge. The following conditions explain how attendance and table operation may be managed.

Event information and attendance

Texas Hold’em tournaments and other poker event details may include a date, timing, capacity, format, and onsite participation guidance. Events are hosted in the Card Room / Poker Lounge at the venue, and attendance is subject to available space and any requirements communicated for that physical event. Visitors should rely on the current venue information for the occasion they intend to attend, rather than assuming that a prior format or schedule will apply again.

Event adjustments

Bluff And Hearth may reasonably amend, reschedule, pause, or cancel a poker event or Texas Hold’em tournament where operational, safety, staffing, or venue circumstances require it. Before attending, visitors should check the latest communication from the venue. This allows the team to keep physical spaces workable and to share the most useful available guidance when a session needs to change.

Session format and staff direction

Event format, table allocation, chip handling, and play pacing are managed onsite by the venue team for the orderly conduct of chips-only entertainment. Play is physical and in person at poker tables. Participants must follow reasonable staff directions and published event instructions so the room can move at a comfortable pace. These arrangements relate to a hosted venue experience, not online or financial activity.

Venue care, safety, and intellectual property

Care for people and place

Please treat the restaurant, poker salon, furnishings, cards, chips, and shared spaces with care and respect. Reasonable staff directions relating to safety, access, or venue operations must be followed. Where necessary to protect guests, staff, or property, the venue may limit access to a particular area or ask visitors to use another route or space. These directions are practical measures for keeping a busy hospitality environment comfortable and well cared for.

Onsite awareness

Personal belongings and onsite awareness

Please keep personal belongings attended and remain aware of your surroundings while moving between the restaurant and Card Room spaces. If you notice a practical concern during your visit, raise it with a member of the venue team promptly so it can be considered in context. We value a calm, attentive environment and appreciate visitors helping to keep shared pathways and tables easy for others to use.
